i have some pictures for you from the 2007 weimar opernball. the event took place on the 3rd of march. for me, it was a very special gig in my career so far, cause it was the first time i worked with an A- Class orchestra. at the beginning of our first rehersal with the orchestra, i almost s***t my pants. being a musician in a band has not to much to do with being a muso in an orchestra and so i had to try and switch to the orchestra way of feeling time and music itself. after getting to know some of the 76 musicians in the orchestra, and asking them vor advice, the scare went and we had a great time together. so, thanks for having me.

hello,
as some of you might have heard already, i had an accident on stage last
week but i am ok. i fell off the stage during a concert with the band
ELLIOT, and NO i was not drunk :). i guess you all know i avoid alcohol
before and during a show. the accident happened because the stage wasn't
secure.
luckily i didn't break anything, i am "only" suffering from a concussion and
some cuts and bruises. and to all the elliot fans : you should love me for
finishing the show after this accident :)

how are you all doing?
it's official now, i will be doing the "Rocky Horror Show" at the state opera house in weimar next year together with the other guys from the original rocky tour, i did for 5 million years some time ago.
rehersals start in february. as soon as i have the exact schedule i'll let you know.
also check for new gig's with Frank Dietz in my live section. on bass he has hired steffi steffan (of Udo Lindenberg fame). i can't wait to go out with these guys.

Hello everybody, i hope you all are happy and well.
i just joined the life band of one of germanys finest guitarplayers to date, Mr. FRANK DIEZ (Frumpy, Peter Maffay, Udo Lindenberg etc).
it's an absolute honour to me to be able to play and learn from such a talented musician and legend.
we met at a session and he hired me straight away. here is a picture of the two of us wich, once again, proves that porfile shots suck (for the both of us).
we are currently rehearsing Mr. diez solo program and will be out on tour soon. so keep an eye on the "LIVE" section.

at the moment i am recording for several artists such as jan s. eckerts (masterplan) 1st solo record, and joyce "babyface" kennedys (mothers finest) new solo record. it's an absolute honnor to be working with such talented artists and i can't wayt to present the recorded material live on stage with them.

Hello and a happy belated new year to you all.

I hope you all had a fantastic new years eve party and a damn good hang over the next day. believe me, i had one. for sure!

here are some pic's of the tour i just did with "the original usa gospel singers".

The strange thing is that my drum kits seem to get smaller and smaller.

here i was using a 16" bass drum, a 10" and 12" tom and my beautiful 14" mapex saturn pro snare. i used 16" and 18" avedis crashes, a 13" avedis hihat and my 20" K custom ride cymbal.

i want to thank the whole cast and crew of the tour for there help and support (rock on olli). i hope to see you all soon again.

i just did some recording for producer, arranger steve mushrush (don't ask about the name, he is canadian).
for the first time in my life i had to play percussion and not drums and i thopught i'd share these moments with you.
one thing i didn't know was that playing congas and other percussion instruments causes sever pain in your hands (damn it). my salut goes to all the percussionist in the world. what a painfull job.
we recorded songs for adverts and tv productions.

lots of things are happening that I wanna share with you:
here are some pic's of the studio session with german classic rockers lancelot.
not much new drum configurations, just the 10" tom got replaced by a 12" one.
the record will be out at the beginning of 2006.

His solo debut will be released in early 2006.

here are some pic's of my set up for last years winter tour with the musical "broadways very best".
i am using my mapex saturn pro with 10", 14" and 16" toms, a very old leedy snare, from around 1948,
two 20" bass drums (the sound engineer asked for a joke if i would bring both of them, and so i did) and some electonical stuff including a very old simmons pad, some roland pads and a very old alesis d4 sound module.

i used my 20" custom k ride, 3x 18" avedis custome chrashes, 13" avedis hihats, a 12" and a 10" avedis custom splash and an 18" avedis china. i tell you, i don't think anyone EVER used a double bass kit on a musical
production with the band being visible for the audience.

we had some complaints about the music being to loud, my manager even told me one old lady said that the whole show was just one big drum solo. it didn't matter that the kit was behinde a plexi glas wall at all to some of
the audience. lovely innit? i guess it is shock for these old farts to see such a monster on a stage that is suppost to house tatty musical songs for the evening.

so, you see that there is a very sophisticated crowd coming to these kind of shows. or in other words, most of them are sad ignorant fucks.

and that's exactelly what i am going to do but not without you're help.

hello everybody.

i just came back from a week rehersals and some shows with my musical "Broadways Very Best".
after a year of organizing and planning me and my production company "ACWP" were able to present the show for the first time in Nienburg on the 06th of december to a sold out theater that holds about 800 seats. you can imagine what a feeling it was to get to the gig and see the sticker on the posters of our show that said "sold out" and how i felt when we got standing ovations from the crowd.
everyone on the show did a great job during rehersals and the shows. jürgen hoffmann and wolfgang poser from "ACWP" where so supportive the whole time and now we are able to take the whole show on the road.
